Enjoy the ride

Tomorrow marks the end to my first week in the Big Apple. (Did you know the term was made popular in the 1920s by journalist John Fitz Gerald while referring to horse-racing here in New York?)   Wow... to think I have yet to see everything!  From the conversations I've overheard walking down the street to the constant flow of people it has been a lot to take in.  Learning whether to go Uptown or Downtown on the Metro, waiting in a line that snakes around the entire Trader Joe's in Union Square, and not to forget the sign above the hand dryer in Grand Central Station stating "for hands only" (what else would you put under the hand dryer!?).  I must learn not to be surprised. Patience.
