In hindsight

Blind as a bat Miller. Yes, that's what I was called growing up.  My glasses look like Coke Bottles (thank you Wild Bill SB09) which is no surprise being I have -7.00 eye vision.  Without contacts or glasses on I'm lucky if I can make it to the bathroom and back without serious injury.
Lasik would be a dream come true.  Any contact or glasses wearer knows my pain.
I have awful vision and I still take it for granted.  For weeks I've been complaining how bad my eyes hurt - hello I can't remember the last time I changed my contacts because it's my last pair.  Contacts are expensive.  No insurance, student loan payments, rent - my list of excuses for not purchasing new contacts are endless.  Friday night when I was out, spending money I should have been purchasing new contacts with, I had to leave early because my eyes hurt and I was having a major headache.  I knew it was time to breakdown.
While searching online for optometrists in NYC I came across all the dangers of not taking care of your eyes.  Infection, cataracts, and blindness - just to name a few! Blindness, really? This has been my wake-up call.
